Givenchy Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Givenchy (US: , French: [ʒivɑ̃ʃi]) is a French luxury fashion and perfume house. It hosts the brand of haute couture clothing, accessories and Parfums Givenchy, perfumes and cosmetics. The house of Givenchy was founded in 1952 by designer Hubert de Givenchy and is a member of Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture et du Pret-a-Porter. It is owned by a luxury conglomerate LVMH. From 2 May 2017 until 10 April 2020, its artistic director was Clare Waight Keller, the first woman to hold that position.

An angry customer said, "I have been using Givenchy make up and perfume for years and then decided to purchase a pre loved bag. The second time I wore it, the handle broke. I contacted Givenchy to ask for a replacement part and they declined (rudely) only because I purchased it from a site (which is well known and reputable) that is not their authorized seller.I have even offered to pay for the part!Good on you Givenchy. What a great way to turn a long standing customer off your brand!"

Makeup Artist (Current Employee) says

"Awful management, unreasonable sales goals, little to no communication between employees and employer. With little to no customer traffic there is no way to meet your sales goals. While having to travel everyday to locations 50+ miles apart each way you are not reimbursed for gas or parking which can go as high as $35 for your shift. No reimbursement for gas or parking"

Resident Makeup Artist (Former Employee) says

"Givenchy does not provide any training and education to their Resident Makeup Artists at this time. There are only a small handful of trainers in the US. Therefore they are behind the times compared to other brands. You will receive a brief 30-45 minute seasonal training that the store sales associates receive. This is the only training that you will receive. The AE is new to cosmetics and if you have longevity in the industry... good luck dealing with that!!"

Manageress (Former Employee) says

"Company want to be a hard sell and pushy to everything with pulse products don't suit al skin types no warm shades company managers so not care for staff and are very fake specilli head office compare 90% staff to any other counter and givenchy staff look very unglamorous Have standeds for staff and yourselfsFree products but still no good no warm shadeHorrible managers forceing ethic for getting sales being pushy and lying"

"entreprise intéressante de par son secteur d'activité. dommage que l'humain soit au dernier plan."

Sales Associate (Former Employee) says

"I loved working as a sales associate. Made many great friends and clients who trust me and and had great working relationships with the manager as well. The problem is there is no job security because the management in France has a bone to pick with stores preforming poorly due to slow sales so they take it out on the sales associates instead of shaking up the higher ranks which caused the over saturated market in the first place. I wouldn't work for Givenchy again unless upper management in France and US store director was fired.great money, people, culturemanagement is clueless to market demands"

Sales Representative (Former Employee) says

"had to try to sell perfume in a highly competitive work environment. lots of catty women and the rep for the brand was rude and left a bad taste in my mouth.free cologne and perfumeboss was not well liked"

Sales Consulatant (Former Employee) says

"I have worked part time in Givenchy Bicester for 1 year. The management team had drama since I joined as the assistant manager wanted to become a manager as she have been in there from the start which caused tension in the company's overall environment. I also faced some racist actions from her by asking me to do things for the first time ever. However, the actual manager is amazing and supporting at all times which unfortunately is leaving and that is the reason why I am leaving it as well.Great products, great stories and lovely colleaguesMoody management and they do not appreciate your hard work"

ouvriere (Former Employee) says

"bonne entreprise de travail , travail sur chaines, avec des femmes parfois l ambiance pas top"

Sales Specialist/Free Lancer (Former Employee) says

"This was a fun job, meeting new people. Working in the mall for every holiday made it entertaining and rewarding. Standing on your feet was a little tiresome. You are given sale goals that has to be met on a weekly basis. Meeting those goals gives you something to strive for and do your best. I loved the people I worked with, and selling parfum, something I love was awesome. You have to believe in your products to suceed. Attaining the sales goal was most rewarding!seasonal, no benefits"

"The customer service for Givenchy is absolutely atrocious. I will never purchase an item from them again. My fiancé purchased sneakers for me for my birthday, I tried one shoe on and didn’t like them. We went online and purchased a second shoe that I liked better. We packaged up the original shoes and sent them back within 7 days. They sent the shoes back to us saying they had been worn and were not in original condition. I tried ONE shoe on and took 2 steps. If you are going to charge me $700 for that, you have absolutely no clue on how to run a business. We called customer service to complain and they said “clean them up” and then send them back. Are you kidding?? You are making the CUSTOMER get the shoes professionally cleaned THAT ARENT EVEN DIRTY!!!! What an inconvenience and an absurd request!! We didn’t want to wait any longer, so we did just that. “Cleaned up” the shoes and sent them back. I have photos to prove how they were 100% in immaculate condition. We waited 2 MONTHS for any sort of contact no email no call NOTHING!!! We called customer service repeatedly asking where the refund is? What is going on?? No one knew!! They said they had been delivered back to Givenchy but they couldn’t figure out why we hadn’t been refunded. Again, they said we will call you back. Another few weeks go by NOTHING!!!! My thoughts are that Givenchy is struggling to stay afloat and they are trying to keep every penny. Do not purchase anything from them online!! They WILL BLAME YOU for ANYTHING if you are trying to return an item and keep your money!! This company is a scam, I used to be in the luxury retail career and we would NEVER allow this to happen to our customers. It’s disgusting they do this to their customers!! I warn you, do NOT purchase from this company, you will be out hundreds of dollars if your item is incorrect and you need to return it!!!"

Taylor Lynn says

"I placed an online order on 11/06/2020. I ordered 3 items; a hoodie, a pair of slide sandals and a handbag. My order arrived on 11/13/2020. Upon arrival, I tried on the hoodie and the slides. Both were too big and I repackaged them to be returned. I shipped the items out on 11/14/2020 via UPS. Tracking information shows the items were received by Givenchy on 11/17/2020. It is 11/23/2020 and I still have not received an update or confirmation of the return from the merchant. Furthermore, my package was missing the MINI ANTIGONA BAG I purchased. I reached out to customer service for the first time on 11/15/2020. I was told on 11/16/2020 they would not refund me because they had photos of the purse in a shopping bag and that was 'proof' it was shipped to me. I kindly asked for the issue to be escalated to management as a picture does not prove it was actually shipped. How would I receive and acknowledge I received 2 out of 3 items? The issue was so called escalated and on 11/21/2020 received the same automated response that I would not be refunded but no further investigation was done regarding my missing item. I would like Givenchy to stop putting the blame on the customer and own up to the fact that they made an error and refund my money that is rightfully mine."

Geo Johansen says

"The very best when it comes to spamming !!"

Barbara says

"Not good. Customer service does not reply to emails, I have sent two already. They are obviously not bothered that they are loosing a customer."

Mohammed Omar says

"Terrible customer service for a high street brand!! Ordered a £810 sweatshirt for it to arrive with manufacture defaults. Threads coming loose like it was a fake!!! Guess what send it back and re order no other options!! Like its my fault!! Never buy from them again in my life"

Phillip Dimmock says

"On the 18th January I put my review on trustpoilt...to date I seem to be passed around via electronic mail. I feel I am a mere blip in Givencey,s empire. And the care of the bread and butter customers sourcing retailers to purchase the goods they thus far do not give a dam. Trustpoilt thanks for this platform."

Catherine Agiode says

"where do I begin, I bought my first ever designer bag, and I decided to go for a Givenchy antigona Tote bag in Large, this bag cost me 1800, I am not a rich girl, I work 9to5, and work very hard for my money. I bought this bag because I wanted to treat myself after been sick for a while and also because I have always wanted a Givenchy bag. however, when that bag arrived it had a sweing default which has nothing to do with me, it was very unsettling for me , that I paid so much money and get a less than perfect bag. so I returned it to them. they got back to me and said they repaired the bag and it was posted back to me without them asking what I would like them to do. I was very dissapointed with the way they handled the situation , I emailed them back and told them I want a refund or a vocher for the amount I paid. they refuse both and siad I have to keep the bag, they are making me keep a bag that I was unhappy with. Givenchy you take from the poor and bully customers that buy from you. you are cruel and this will be the beginning of your down fall. and im sure if I was white you will not treat me like this . you think because you are a high brand name you can bully me, I will not go down without a fight . I am very disapointed with the way you treat buyers. I will not let this go. its my right I was not happy with the product that you sent me, because it wasnt up to standards and your refusing to take it back or even exchange it. you are simply now one of the worse brand out here. you are bullies and you prey on customers. your day of reckoning is coming."

Kelly says

"Bought the black givenchy sliders yesterday and I literally wore them for the first time today when I walked to my car. To my absolute disgust when I next looked at them they had multiple scuff marks already. This is a supposed to be a luxury brand so what exactly is it that I’m paying so much for? Just the brand name clearly."

Maria Ivanova says

"It was a long story of exchanging a poor quality Antigona bag. They took it and kept my bag for 5 months. The worst customer experience I've ever had in my life. Givenchy? never again"
